For the fourth consecutive year, Bend-based GreenSavers has been honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy for leadership and innovation in energy efficiency retrofits for Oregon homeowners.

GreenSavers is a long-time Energy Trust trade ally and is one of only two contractors nationwide to win the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®—Contractor of the Year award more than three years in a row. In 2018, GreenSavers completed 650 projects for homeowners in Oregon with total energy savings of almost 700,000 kilowatt hours. That’s enough energy to completely offset the energy used by 60 average homes a year, eliminating about 500 metric tons of carbon dioxide.

“We’re incredibly honored,” says Robert Hamerly, GreenSavers principal. “Our clients are the ones who deserve most of the recognition. They’re the ones who light the spark, taking the initiative to improve how their homes use and lose energy.”
