Energy Trust has released its first public report showing progress under its 2026-2030 Multiyear Plan.

The Multiyear Plan Progress Report, which came out Aug. 14, shows Energy Trust achieved slightly more energy savings and generation from January through June than expected to at this point in the five-year plan. The report refers to those expectations as the target to date.

By the end of June, Energy Trust had reached 102% of its electric savings target to date, 104% of its natural gas savings target to date and 101% of its electric generation target to date.

The report also shows revenue and expenditures to date, and Energy Trust’s progress to meeting annual performance measures set by the Oregon Public Utility Commission.

Energy Trust’s 2026-2030 Multiyear Plan describes activities, energy savings, generation targets and financial needs over the five-year period. It positions Energy Trust to deliver more value and benefits to customers, communities and Oregon’s energy system.

That includes more incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy that support greater bill savings and energy resilience for customers, more support for workforce development and community-based organizations and more business for clean energy contractors.

In tracking its progress under the five-year plan, Energy Trust will report cumulative energy results and financials, instead of reporting against annual goals and budgets like it previously has.

Reports will show where the organization is on track, where it is exceeding expectations and where changes are needed to accelerate results.

Public reports have always played an important role at Energy Trust, ensuring accountability and transparency for stakeholders. They offer a comprehensive account of Energy Trust’s activities, investments and the benefits it delivers.

They are also an important oversight tool for Energy Trust’s board of directors and the OPUC, which requires Energy Trust to publish two reports per year.

The next progress report will be published in April and show cumulative results through the end of 2026.
