Six manufacturers in Oregon were honored for exceptional energy-efficiency practices and results at the second annual Oregon Leaders Awards on November 26 in Governor Kitzhaber’s office in Salem. Oregon First Lady Cylvia Hayes presented the awards in recognition of the companies’ innovation, energy performance and leadership by example.
Energy Trust of Oregon expertise helped industrial customers stand out—four of the six manufacturers are participants in Energy Trust’s industrial program: Myers Container LLC and Container Management Services LLC; Elkay Wood Products Company; NorPac Foods, Inc. Brooks Plant and Gunderson LLC. Another award winner, Stimson Lumber Company Clatskanie Operations, has worked with Energy Trust at its other facilities.
