Energy Trust of Oregon is seeking proposals from qualified individuals with an interest in advancing the design and construction of net-zero-energy commercial buildings in Oregon.
The Net Zero Fellowship grant is open to individuals and companies with a well-defined proposal and a demonstrated ability to deliver. This grant aims to address potential barriers to the widespread adoption of net-zero design and to grow the community constructing these remarkable buildings.
Possible topics may include technical research, economic benefits, market barriers and community-based net-zero projects. Applicants must demonstrate why their research is important and clearly explain the value their project will bring to the state and potentially a national or global audience. Energy Trust will select a fellow with input from a committee of advisors experienced in sustainable, high-performance and net-zero-energy buildings.
Energy Trust may award a grant of up to $50,000 to support research over 12 to 18 months. Learn about the application requirements and apply on our 2020 Net Zero Fellowship webpage. Applications are due to Energy Trust by June 12, 2020.
