Portland area customers saved $16.3 million in 2013

In 2013, Energy Trust of Oregon helped Portland General Electric, Pacific Power and NW Natural customers in the Portland metro area save $16.3 million on their utility bills at 42,961 locations. Residential, business, industrial and agricultural customers made energy-efficient improvements and generated renewable power with assistance from 492 local trade ally contractors.

With energy improvements ranging from home weatherization and solar electric systems to high-efficiency commercial lighting and efficient manufacturing processes, Portland area customers saved and generated enough electricity to power 17,000 homes for a year and saved enough natural gas to heat 5,100 homes for a year.
