Energy Trust of Oregon’s free instant savings upgrades for residents of multifamily properties just got even better.

Energy Trust now includes free advanced power strips when installing energy-efficient LED bulbs, showerheads and faucet aerators in qualified dwellings. Upgrading conventional power strips to advanced power strips can reduce energy consumption from devices like TVs, DVD players, audio receivers and game consoles. If entertainment equipment is not connected to an advanced power strip, it may be wasting energy even when the equipment is turned off.

Advanced power strips are an additional way for participants to continue to save energy while reducing monthly utility expenses.

How these free energy-efficiency upgrades save energy and money

How the installation works

Our field technicians will install free energy-efficient LED bulbs, showerheads and faucet aerators in little as five minutes per qualified dwelling. An advanced power strip, with manufacturer’s instructions for installation, will also be left for residents to connect to their televisions and entertainment equipment. We ask that property staff notify residents in advance and provide access to each dwelling at the time of installation.
