To help build an equitable local economy, Prosper Portland introduced two grants dedicated to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in local businesses:

• The Small Business Internship Grant is available for up to 12 business in the Portland Metro area and will help broaden learning opportunities for communities of color through the Emerging Leaders Internship
• The Inspiring Diversity Grant program is intended to encourage private employers to incorporate creative, equity-related best practices around workforce, marketing and communications.

Applications for the Small Business Internship Grant will be accepted through Monday, December 31 and applications for the Inspiring Diversity Grant will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Thursday, January 31.
