Three teens interested in reducing their energy consumption are leaders in the Oregon ZooTeen Program. “Over the years, I have learned there is a lot of wasted energy in homes every day, and there are things that every member of the family can do to reduce waste,” said Samuel Ilsley, one of the teens. This holiday season, they are braving the cold at a ZooLights booth to share their passion about saving energy with the 60,000 weekend visitors who will see the lights. Their booth showcases energy-saving light bulbs and energy monitoring devices provided by Energy Trust. “Working with Energy Trust was an easy choice due to their willingness to help everyone save energy, and in turn, saving the earth,” said Ilsley.
