Energy Trust’s draft 2024 budget is available for public comment now through October 18.
The past years presented challenges ranging from supply chain issues and staffing shortages for businesses, climate-related disaster events for people and communities, and rising inflation pushing up costs of housing, food and other necessities. Impacts from climate change – including excessive heat, drought and wildfires – have put a greater emphasis on resilient buildings and flexible, adaptable energy systems. Customers experiencing lower incomes are at greater risk for falling behind in the clean energy transition, experiencing barriers to participation that reach beyond awareness.
Our 2024 budget focuses on making bigger impacts through new programs and offers, expanded incentives and support for the contractors and community-based organization partners that help bring our programs to customers. All of this supports our core purpose of helping customers save and generate energy and reduce costs – especially those who have low and moderate incomes, communities of color and rural communities.
