Lithia Motors Inc. expecting to save more than 250,000 kWh this year with the help of Energy Trust

Lithia Motors Inc. is making some big changes to its energy usage, having recently installed energy-efficient lighting at six of its dealerships throughout Oregon that will save more than 250,000 kilowatt hours of electricity. In total, the auto dealer has saved nearly 1.5 million kWh through lighting projects since 2004 with Energy Trust providing more than $265,000 in cash incentives. Lithia’s biggest change, according to Vice President of Real Estate Mark DeBoer, will be its new corporate headquarters, used as “a showpiece for energy efficiency and a visual representation of the company’s commitment to sustainability.”
