Pacific Power Wattsmart lowers cost for solar + storage

A woman stands outdoors beside a gray wall with a mounted utility device, smiling and gesturing toward it with one hand while holding a smartphone in the other. She wears sunglasses and a patterned sleeveless dress. The background includes a wooden fence, green plants, and a hose reel, suggesting a backyard or garden setting.

Pacific Power customers can now stack Energy Trust of Oregon cash incentives with Pacific Power’s Wattsmart® Battery Program incentives to further lower the cost of adding battery storage to solar installations.

This update follows close collaboration between Energy Trust and Pacific Power to align program details, making it easier for customers to claim both incentives.

Solar paired with battery storage makes homes and businesses energy resilient, producing clean energy and providing essential backup power during outages. Pacific Power developed the Wattsmart Battery Program because smart batteries can also provide flexibility to the utility grid and help control costs for everyone.

If you are a residential or commercial customer of Pacific Power, you can get paid when you enroll a qualifying battery in the Wattsmart program. Pacific Power will automatically manage your battery as part of the smart power grid. You’ll get an upfront rebate when you enroll and earn ongoing monthly bill credits. Both incentives are based on the size of your battery system.

New batteries as well as previous installations can participate in the Wattsmart program as long as the battery meets eligibility requirements.
