Oregon’s new transit garage: Leading the way in transit sustainability and efficiency

TriMet needed a major upgrade to meet its goal of maintaining and operating an all-electric, zero-emission fleet before 2040. Working with Energy Trust helped make this project a reality, all while remaining operational during the entire process.

With the project now complete, this stunning, sustainable and incredibly efficient state-of-the-art transit garage could serve as a model for transit agencies from coast to coast.

The 130,000-square-foot facility doubles the capacity of the original building, features 22 maintenance bays and provides room for more than 300 buses in the yard.
