Dinah Choi joins Energy Trust as general counsel

Energy Trust is proud to welcome Dinah Choi as its new general counsel, bringing a wealth of legal expertise and leadership to the organization. With extensive experience spanning corporate governance, commercial and employment law, regulatory compliance, risk management and complex contract negotiations, is well-equipped to guide Energy Trust through its evolving legal landscape.

In her role, Choi will oversee legal and regulatory compliance, provide strategic legal counsel, and manage the organization’s legal, contracts, and board services teams.  Her leadership will play a vital role in upholding Energy Trust’s longstanding commitment to integrity and its mission to deliver clean, energy solutions to communities across the region.

Choi’s expansive career includes serving as vice president of legal, Americas & global head of compliance at Dr. Martens, where she built and led the Americas legal team and led a global compliance program. She also worked as corporate counsel at Amazon Web Services and was a shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, where she spent more than seven years honing her skills in private practice.

Choi earned her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law. She replaces Debbie Menashe, general counsel, who is retiring after more than 20 years at Energy Trust.
