Central Oregon customers saved $4.2 million in 2013

In 2013, Energy Trust of Oregon helped Pacific Power and Cascade Natural Gas customers in Central Oregon save $4.2 million on their utility bills at 3,484 locations. Residential, business, industrial and agricultural customers made energy-efficient improvements and generated renewable power with assistance from 125 local trade ally contractors.

With energy improvements ranging from home weatherization and solar electric systems to high-efficiency commercial lighting and efficient manufacturing processes, Central Oregon customers saved and generated enough electricity to power 16,000 homes for a year and saved enough natural gas to heat 2,800 homes for a year.
