2026 Multifamily incentive updates

2026 Multifamily incentive updates

Two people stand outside a beige residential building near two Daikin-branded HVAC units mounted on concrete pads. The building has white-framed windows, an American flag by the entrance, and neatly trimmed shrubs along a sidewalk in the foreground. The scene suggests a home energy upgrade or heat pump installation.

Building performance is a growing priority for multifamily properties, especially when upgrades can reduce operating costs and improve resident comfort. Multifamily property owners and managers throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington are looking for practical improvements that help their buildings run more efficiently, reduce maintenance headaches and support a better tenant experience.

For more than two decades, Energy Trust of Oregon has helped multifamily properties complete energy-efficient equipment upgrades through technical support and cash incentives that offset project costs.

In 2026, Energy Trust is updating its incentive offerings, including new incentives and adjustments to existing ones, to help properties plan and complete high-impact improvements.

Starting this year, multifamily properties can access new incentives for ducted heat pumps and insulation, making it easier to save on qualifying upgrades.
