Every fall, Energy Trust offers opportunities for customers, utilities, community partners and other stakeholders to learn about its budget for the following year and give feedback. This year, the draft 2021 budget and action plan will be available for public comment October 7 to 28.

The budget and action plan explain how Energy Trust plans to invest utility customer funds to benefit customers, from renters and homeowners to farmers and factories, schools and public buildings to businesses of all sizes across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

These investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy help customers save money on utility bills, reduce carbon emissions and boost the economy by putting local contractors to work.

Next, attend an online budget workshop October 14. Energy Trust Executive Director Michael Colgrove will give an overview of the budget, and attendees can ask questions of staff to learn about the organization’s proposed activities for next year. This workshop is open to the public.

Energy Trust’s budget and action plans are developed collaboratively with its utility partners: Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas and Avista.
