Ellen Zuckerman joins Energy Trust board

Energy Trust’s newest board member brings vast experience advancing energy-efficiency programs in communities across the country.

Ellen Zuckerman of Portland has worked on demand side management program design, implementation, marketing, performance and policies for state agencies, local governments, nonprofits and major companies.

As an independent consultant for energy-efficiency programs and policies for more than a decade, Zuckerman supported efforts to reach and serve customers from Connecticut to California. In 2020, she was recognized as a Champion for Energy Efficiency by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.

Currently she manages Google’s regulatory and legislative engagement on energy and climate issues in the Western U.S. and Latin America.

“I am deeply passionate about the opportunity for energy-efficiency and renewable energy investments to help us build healthier, more equitable and sustainable communities,” Zuckerman said. “As a new Oregonian, I also see this opportunity as an important way that I can use my experience and expertise to give back to my new community.”

Zuckerman fills the seat previously held by Alexia Kelly, who stepped down after nearly three years on the board.
