Energy Trust invites public comment on draft 2014 Annual Budget, 2014-2015 Action PlanThrough November 27, 2013, Energy Trust is seeking public input from interested parties and citizens on its draft 2014 Budget and 2014-2015 Action Plan detailing program and outreach strategies to help Oregonians and SW Washington residents save energy and generate renewable power.

As a nonprofit organization investing utility customer funds, Energy Trust conducts an open annual budgeting process. The budget and action plan are designed to deliver least-cost energy efficiency that Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural and Cascade Natural Gas include in their integrated resource plans and rely on to meet the energy needs of their customers. In addition, the budget supports development of small-scale generation from a variety of renewable energy resources for PGE and Pacific Power.

The proposed budget and action plan are presented to two Energy Trust advisory councils, the Energy Trust Board of Directors and the Oregon Public Utility Commission through multiple public meetings. In addition, Energy Trust presents the proposed budget to each of the four utilities and offers a live webinar open to the public.

Public comments are accepted until November 27 by 5 p.m. (PST) and may be emailed to info@energytrust.org, mailed or submitted in person to Energy Trust, 421 SW Oak St., Suite 300, Portland, OR, 97204.
